Introduction
Aboriginal Cultural Relic Museum of Nantou County is affiliated to National Ren-Ai Agricultural Vocational High School, which is located in WuShe area at an altitude of 1150 meters. The aboriginal people in Ren-Ai township mainly consist of three different tribes: Atayal, Seediq and Bunun. There is an abundance of aboriginal cultural characteristics in this area. Furthermore, there are some popular tourist attractions in this area, such as Qingjing Farm, Mt. Hehuan Recreation Area, Auwanta Forest Recreation Area and Lushan hot springs. This museum is close to Mona Rudo Monument. In addition, ecobiological diversity is abundant and unique in nearby environment, including Wushe cherry (Prunus taiwaniana Hayata), Wushe blood spotted beetle (Aeolesthes oenochrous), Red-bellied tree squirrel (Callosciurus erythraeus), Taiwan Whistling Thrush (Myophonus insularis).It is suitable for ecology field trip.
This museum aims to preserve the handicrafts of the aboriginal, pass on and promote aboriginal culture and facilitate racial integration. Our exhibition’s main display is aboriginal heritage. Our collections include more than four hundred pieces. As for the underground floor, there are long-term aboriginal culture exhibition, show room for the Wushe event, and computer simulation for aboriginal facial tattoo. Our first floor consists of three sections: Experience Zone for the aboriginal clothing, History Gallery for National Ren-Ai Agricultural Vocational High School, and traveling exhibition of National Museum of Natural Science.
